We woke up to a winter wonderland. We ate breakfast, put on snow gear and went outside to enjoy the snow while it lasts. It may be longer than I want, it is supposed to be cold all week.

You are so sweet! It would have been a much better photo if my cute daughter was looking at the camera. Some days it's take a picture, others it is no camera, no camera.
Yeah! Fun in the snow!
For the cake bites I do add a little shortening (about a tablespoon to a whole bag of melts) and I melt it all together in a double boiler. It is best to dip when the cake bites are cold a firm so that they keep their shape and you don't get too many crumbs in your chocolate! Good luck!
